I love this photo from Crosby beach, the weather conditions and reflection in the sand create a strong monochrome effect, with a small amount of color even though this photo is completed unedited.
This photo of a street near my school at night looks very atmospheric with the amazing lighting conditions that were created, after a black & white effect was applied this resulted in one of my most atmospheric photos yet.
When I began studying mood and atmosphere photography, I quickly realised how influential lighting and weather conditions are. On a foggy morning I took a photo of this tree near my house, and with a gray scale black & white effect this photo becomes atmospheric and transports the viewer to a different place entirely.
This monochrome image taken in the Liverpool docks area late at night is highly atmospheric, unbelievably there is was post-production for this image and the lack of colors is completely natural. After it has rained when it has not yet dried is possibly the best time for an atmospheric photoshoot, and the reflection of the moonlight on the ground along with the composition I've used creates this visually stunning photo.
I love sunsets, the perfect sunset is the surefire way to creating atmospheric photography. This photo is taken from my landscape topic from my first unit of photography, but the atmosphere here is so compelling I had to include it again here. I used the rule of thirds in this photo to position the subject of the photo in the right frame, in the foreground of this beautiful sky.
I hate to include two photos from the same shoot in my finals for this unit, but this tree on a foggy morning from a different angle looks so atmospheric, especially with the lighting in the photo, and the urban landscape in the background gives a cyberpunk, futurist feeling.
